Recently we have been receiving many inquiries regarding wrapping machine for A4 size samples. Today we uploaded a new blog article about it on Pressio website.
(A4 size is 25.7cm x 36.4cm, 8.27inch x 11.69inch)

The wrapping machine RV-iX(s) which is posted on our website is designed mostly for larger paper size (29.5cm x 40.5cm, 11.59inch x 15.91inch). Therefore when you try to wrap the common A4 size samples with our Pressio wrapping machine, there has been always a gap between the adhesive part of the film and the paper samples.

We’ve been receiving strong demands of wrapping machine for A4 size from companies which frequently use A4 size paper for instruction manuals, documents, etc.

Due to such circumstances, we strongly requested our development department, and we are delighted to release a wrapping machine compatible with A4 size.

Despite the fact it’s not totally an automatic process because you need to put the paper samples by hand, it can still wrap 60-70 samples per minute which allows you to wrap about 3,600-4,200 sets in an hour.

In addition, it can handle both thin and thick paper samples and doesn’t need any mechanical adjustment. All you have to do is insert the sample and it’s wrapped.
This allows anyone, including less experienced staff, to handle our wrapping machine without any issues.

The cutting heater is the part that needs maintenance and is consumable. Since the plastic film is melted and adheres by heat, it is necessary to clean and replace the cutting edge on a regular basis. The timing of cleaning and replacement depends on the frequency and amount of wrapping being done.Some customers are worried about this maintenance procedures, but it is very easy to handle and no need worry.
There is also a video in English which shows the maintenance of our wrapping machine.

The Pressio wrapping machine is not too large in size which saves your work space and also it is easy to move because it has a stand with casters.
You can easily move and place the machine in the warehouse when not using it.
Also you can start using the machine in about 5 minutes after you press the power switch.

As you can see from the above photo of the sample, though it is translucent you can still see the content inside the wrapper.
We recommend the genuine film made by the manufacturer. It is only about 8μthick, but its durability is excellent that you cannot tear it easily when pulled by hand.

Today let us introduce you a case study of a customer in the logistics and warehouse industry.

In fact this customer has been using our collating machine since spring of 2021, and this is the second installation.
All the employees are satisfied and say, “It is easy to use, the collating speed is fast, and there are very few errors.” We are grateful to hear these comments and how nice it is to know that our collating machine is contributing to people around the world.

This customer is in charge of inventory management and delivery of a mail-order company for members. When sending products to members every month, they include information note, pamphlets, and leaflets of many different kinds.

They were packing these things manually until recently, but as the number of samples increased they decided to mechanize this operation from 2021.
Before using the collating machine, it took them 30 people for 6 hours to do the work manually, but now after the installation of the machine, 3 people can finish it in 3 hours.
Everyone is very much satisfied with the high efficiency.

Due to the confidentiality we cannot show all of the paper samples, but this customer uses mostly A5-A4 size paper folded in half or a small booklet.

As you can imagine, it is very difficult to collate folded paper samples and booklets with a conventional collating machine, but with the Pressio collating machine you can do it without any problem.

One of the selling points of our collating machine is that it can handle booklets of different sizes and different number pages.

Also unlike other large line equipment, it is very easy to set up and adjust. It can be easily operated by students, females, and elderly people who are usually not familiar with machine. In fact, it was all female employees who operated at this customer’s office.

Due to the confidentiality of the customer, the types of samples that can be taken and introduced in the video are limited, but we collated 12 different types of leaflets on this day.

Pressio collating machine does not take up space because there are trays on the back side as well.
Also the multi-tray function of our collating machine allows you to set same paper samples on 2-3 trays. Therefore when one tray is empty, it automatically feeds the sample from the next tray. With this multi-tray function you do not need to stand beside the machine all the time watching, instead you could leave and work on other tasks

Today we would like to introduce a demonstration of wrapping machine for a mail order company that was held some days ago.

For many years, this mail order company has been collating advertisements and leaflets of its products and wrapping them manually with commercial film envelopes. However, considering the current situation with Covid-19, world pandemic, this company has decided to mechanize the packaging work in order to avoid the crowdedness of the work environment.

This mail order company collates the advertisements and wraps them with plastic film, and then sends the product with the ads to the customers.
Since the ads are wrapped in film, they don’t get messed up in the shipping box. Also, customers could take a look at the ads easily and quickly because the top part of the film is kept unsealed.

As you can see from the above photo, the plastic films are translucent, but there seems to be no trouble for customers to check the inside.

Today we would like to introduce a demonstration of a collating machine for a mail order company that was held some days ago.
Both the mail order company and the logistics company, who is contracted and runs the collating work, came to Pressio office with their actual ads.

These two companies pack together some related ads and catalogs with purchased products and send them to the customers. By doing so, they could promote cross-selling and customers may buy products related to the ones they’ve purchased.
Previously, leaflets and ads were just simple ones, but recently you see more of them folded in three and even catalogs are popular to make them more eye-catching.
Under such trend changes, there are more ads that could not be collated by the conventional collating machine and as a result, we find more companies interested to Pressio collating machine.

Also, the recent advertising trend in the mail order industry is “selecting leaflets according to each customer attribute.”
A mail order company, who manages attribute information of the customers, is achieving a higher cross-selling effect by selecting the ads to be bundled by “customers” instead of selecting them by product.

-There are 5 different types of samples: catalogs, leaflets, postcards, invoices, and delivery notes for mail order.
-The two types of catalogs are each 8-page catalog and 12-page catalog.
-The majority of the samples are A4 size (210mm x 297mm) and postcards are A5 size (148mm x 210mm) .
-The invoice and delivery note are folded in half and they are used to wrap the other ads, meaning they serve as “folding paper.”
-Can collate about 1,500 to 2,000 sets per hour on average.

Due to customer’s request, it is collating and lifting up in units of 10 sets.
As you can see on the video, it is very time efficient because the machine does not stop and continues to operate while it is lifting up the sets.
